The Serenade choir will perform a delicate mix of evening music in a variety of styles, assisted by selected soloists from the 6a year and the school close harmony groups. Whilst we are not yet in a position to return to the Great Cloister, the Shirley Hall provides a sumptuous acoustic for this choral delight.
"Thank you so much for the Serenade.
Back in 1955 (or was it 1956?) I was a fruity alto and I sang in the first ever Serenade in the Cloisters as a member of the Madrigal Society under Edred Wright. What a wonderful performance the current “collection” of small and large very professional singing groups gave us to enjoy. What a long way the Serenade has come since those days!
Thank you all again,
Alan Philpott OKS
